LRNCE is a lifestyle brand dedicated to interior accessories, founded in 2013 by Belgian Laurence Leenart, and based in Marrakesh. Carefully made by hand by a team of local artisans, LRNCE creations blend together traditional Moroccan techniques and materials with the creative experimentation of Europe: the result is a collection of one-of-a-kind pieces where the heritage of the Mediterranean meets the modern freedom of abstract, free-flowing forms.
Started out as a small brand, LRNCE has grown over time as Laurence was introduced to new disciplines by the artisan network she collaborates with: today, the collection includes ceramics, textiles, mirrors, artworks, chairs, lamps, sandals, and clothing. Whatever the medium, the Belgian designer and entrepreneur, who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Gent, managed to develop her unique and recognisable signature: a warm colour palette derived from the Moroccan surrounding, spontaneous forms, tick lines and organic shapes seem to be the alphabet she uses to transform every object into a new piece of her colourful and fearless world.
Despite the high demand from wholesalers across the globe, Laurence keeps collaborating only with a local team of experienced artisans in the Medina rather than shifting to a larger scale of production and loosing all the magic of her handcrafted brand. All her collections can be directly purchased online or at the LRNCE showroom, located in the design hub of Sidi Ghanem, a few km from the Medina of Marrakech.
