MODERN AND PLAYFUL CHAIRS FULLY AND PROUDLY MADE IN FRANCE, IN ONE OF THE OLDEST CHAIR MANUFACTURES OF THE COUNTRY.

La Chaise Française (The French Chair) was founded in 2017 with the ambitious objective of preserving French know-how in furniture manufacturing in a country where the 80% of furniture is imported or manufactured abroad. To this extent, the company decided to invest in one of the oldest chair factory, built by Gustave Eiffel more than one century ago and located in Haute-Marne (North-East), to perpetuate the tradition of chair making by producing contemporary chairs entirely made in France.

Refined and playful, functional and timeless, the chairs conceived under the artistic direction of Margaux Keller are mainly made of wood, finished by hand, and also environmentally friendly: the company commits to the use of wood that only comes from nearby PEFC and sustainably managed forests, to a zero-waste production (the wood waste is recovered in the heating process of the factory), and to the exclusive selection of water-based paint with lower chemical components. Moreover, for every chair you buy, one tree is planted in a French forest to support reforestation across the country.
