BASED IN MILAN, AGUSTINA BOTTONI COLLABORATES WITH ITALIAN ARTISANS TO PRODUCE SMALL SERIES OF GLASSWARE AND OBJECTS, HONOURING THE CONTEMPORARY ELEGANCE OF TIMELESS CRAFTS.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentinian designer Agustina Bottoni loves to experiment, to evoke emotions, and to embrace the beauty of traditional crafts. In addition to commissioned projects for international brands and galleries, the designer produces her own limited editions of glassware and objects, in collaboration with Italian artisans. Whether she designs glasses or sculptures, her creations are infused with lightness and harmony, and look at crafts in a refined and contemporary way.

Presented at the Milan Design Week in 2018, Calici Milanesi is a glassware trio that pays homage to the Modern architectural gems from Milan, and to the Milanese tradition of aperitivo. Inspired by the geometric shapes and volumes of the works of Italian architect Piero Portaluppi, that shaped the Italian city in the 1930s and 1940s, these elegant wine, champagne and cocktail glasses are composed by borosilicate glass, and handmade in Italy by master glassblowers.

The Glass Line is completed by Pillar, a duo of handcrafted ribbed tumblers and highball glasses, and High Spirits, playful lowballs inspired by the audacious Postmodern architecture, resting on top of three bold spheres.
